The Granny Nanny Cultural Group is committed to fighting for the rights of the Yenkunkun Pickibo and all aborigines of this island and the Americas. We have been working assiduously in various areas such as safe-guarding our Creator-given rights and the legal protections which affirms them, protecting our ancestral sites/burial grounds/ancestral places of residence, preservation of natural, material and intangible cultural heritage, teaching and passing down our culture and ways of life to the younger generation, presenting truth and dispelling myth/lies about our aboriginal heritage and overall improving the quality of life of our people. We also do community-led initiatives for which we operate off of no grant funding but are entirely self-funded at this point. Currently, we are working on waste-management / disposal in our community as we have no way of managing non-biodegradable material such as plastic, metal, and glass. We have engaged a team of local students who have designed a low budget DIY recycling plant which they are willing to build one for our community if we are able to raise $6,000 USD so that we can deal with our waste in an eco-friendly way in the exercise of our human right to a clean environment. We are seeking assistance in raising these funds so that our people can live in a clean, healthy environment.

The Granny Nanny Cultural Group is a cultural preservation organization here in our community committed to the prevention of cultural/ethnic genocide, cultural appropriation, as well as simply ensuring that our people live a high quality of life in the exercise of our creator given rights. We are committed to the preservation of our aboriginal culture which encompasses our entire way of life. The Granny Nanny Cultural Group is comprised of members of the traditional families/bloodlines responsible for the preservation of our culture and direct blood descendants of Grandy Nanny herself. The Granny Nanny Cultural Group operates off of direct instruction received in a vision from Grandy Nanny herself, it is from this vision that our charter is derived. Grandy Nanny is the famous Chieftainess of our people who put an end to our 83-year war against colonization, assimilation, and loss of identity. She is renowned for her supreme military tactics, and it is these that brought the British to walk to our town in Breastwork to sue for peace. It is in her name and all of our ancestors that we have embarked on this fight for the rights and well-being of our people.
